Application – Aplicação
Equipment for the transfer of AdBlue urea solution must provide high media purity over the whole transport chain – from the producer to the vehicle tank. Contaminated urea solution not complying with ISO 22241-1 can lead to damages in the SCR catalysator and hence to costly claims.
Operators also require that the used equipment works reliably, and without the danger of misfuelling.
The ELAFLEX product range for AdBlue meets these requirements.
For bulk refuelling of AdBlue we recommend UTL or UTS tanker hoses. The lining of ultra high molecular
weight (UPE) guarantees high media purity.
End fi ttings should be of stainless steel, for example VX 50-2″ SS coupling with BSP male thread and Spannfi x safety clamp, working pressure PN 16.
For the fast fi lling of storage tanks or IBC containers ( schematic illustrations, see overleaf ) Dry Disconnect Couplings as the shown DDC-M 50-2″ SS have proven their value. Made of stainless steel, with EPDM seals, they safeguard a quick and clean connection without spill – either under pressure or with gravity fl ow from the tank truck.
ZVA AdBlue is the most used dispensing nozzle for urea solution worldwide, due to its reliability and
misfuelling prevention. It fulfi lls the misfuelling prevention requirements of the ISO 22241-4. Media fl ow
is possible with magnet adapters like ELAFIX 40 which are incorporated within the fi ller opening of AdBlue vehicle tanks as industry standard.
The nozzle is available with an optional SSB 16 SS Safety Swivel Break. In case of a drive-off incident
it will separate to avoid spill and equipment damage.
Recommended pump hose types are LPG 16 (blue or black ) and EFL 16. Together with 1″ female BSP
stainless steel end fi ttings, these highly fl exible hoses also will provide purity of the medium and hassle-free refuelling of commercial vehicles.
